From giant turtles, to sea lions and iguanas, the Galapagos are home to species that are found nowhere else on Earth. Home to one of the largest (and protected) marine reserves, after the Great Barrier Reef. These volanic islands straddle the equator (600 miles off the coast of Ecuador) and inspired Charles Darwin’s book on natural selection and influenced the theories of evolution.
