Ann Trainer

Ann’s love of travel began at 21 with a solo trip to Munich, followed by adventures through Austria and Czechoslovakia, including stays in castle hostels and a visit to the Berlin Wall. Ever since, Ann has continued to seek out trips that combine outdoor adventure, local food, history, and plenty of room for the unexpected.

Ann has a particular passion for women-only travel and has shared adventures with women skiing the Sella Ronda in the Dolomites, hiking the Cinque Terre, and exploring Venice over coffee. She loves seeing women relax into the experience, try something new, and come home with fresh energy and new friendships. Ann also believes some of the best travel insights come from ordinary conversations with taxi drivers, shop owners, and fellow travelers. Her approach is flexible, curious, and easygoing, with an appreciation for both a good plan and the occasional change of direction.

Pat Wilkins

Pat brings a warm, adventurous spirit and a genuine love of connection to every journey. Travel has played a large role in her life – for work in the 80s and 90s opening retail stores across the country for the Limited, and now as a mom and friend to many. After her husband died, she took her children to their honeymoon spot, Maui and Kauai. Another especially magical trip was when she and four girlfriends chartered a five-cabin sailboat for a week in Greece following the pandemic in 2021.

An energetic outdoor extrovert, Pat likes to stay active and leave room for a little spontaneity along the way. For Pat, women’s travel is about creating a supportive space where everyone can be herself, try something new, and share the experience together. She hopes to bring that same easy warmth, curiosity, and sense of adventure to Ireland—while helping the women around her feel connected, comfortable, and ready for whatever the day brings.

THE SEQUEL COLLECTIVE EXPERIENCE

From Women Who've Traveled With Us

“We arrived at Chaa Creek Resort, a beautiful resort that directs 10% of all accommodation revenue to environmental and community projects. As I got to my room, I discovered one particularly unique aspect of this resort: the incorporation of butterflies into the stay. Upon arrival, guests are given larvae in their room that hatch the next day as butterflies! The butterflies then go to their beautiful butterfly farm.

We then visited the Ka’Ana Resort, where I had the unique opportunity to cook with two Mayan sisters. Together, we prepared empanadas using fresh hand picked ingredients from their garden. We used traditional cooking techniques passed down through generations, rolling tamales in palm leaves and placing them to cook on an outside grill. This experience was a unique way to connect to the culture of Belize, and it was gratifying to cook our lunch authentically.”

THE SEQUEL COLLECTIVE EXPERIENCE

From Women Who've Traveled With Us

“On the morning of our second day we were met by our tour guide at the hotel and were taken to the Acropolis and Parthenon.

Thanks to our wonderful guides who know the city as well as they do and we had a fantastic tour of both historic sites. We packed a lot in on this morning, also stopping by the Acropolis museum. This is a great option for folks with mobility issues; one can still put eyes on the Acropolis and learn about the history of the site without having to do extensive walking up or downhill. After spending the morning walking and exploring with our guide, we jet-setted off to Crete to enjoy a 2-night stay at Blue Palace.

Fun fact! Blue Palace, on Crete, overlooks Spinolonga island, a former leper colony made famous by the book “The Island”, written by Victoria Hislop. I had no idea of the history of the colony, but it’s fascinating! The first evening on Crete we are at the Blue Door Taverna, where I was overwhelmed by the generous Greek offerings. Greeks LOVE to feed people, and I tried fresh anchovies and octopus for the first time in my life!”

THE SEQUEL COLLECTIVE EXPERIENCE

From Women Who've Traveled With Us

“We started our day with breakfast at Lavvu restaurant, followed by a four-hour snowmobile experience complete with snowsuits provided by the lodge. It was so fun passing over countless frozen lakes and having lunch at the Jotka Mountain Lodge for a traditional Sami meal of reindeer stew.

In the evening, we spent time with a member of the Sami indigenous group in a traditional Lavuu, who traditionally live in the northern parts of Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Russia. Today, many Sami people still work as reindeer herders and continue to practice their traditional way of life. It was a fascinating learning experience, and being pulled on a reindeer-drawn sled felt less Santa-like than I had envisioned, but so much fun.”

The program includes accommodations, guides, transportation, listed tours and experiences, gratuities for drivers and guides, breakfasts, and select group meals.

Price is, per person, land only.

What makes these journeys special?

Sequel Collective journeys are intentionally small. Most groups include 15–20 women, allowing the experience to feel relaxed, personal, and unhurried.

The pacing is deliberate. A day might include exploring a historic town with a knowledgeable local guide, creating a custom perfume to take home and enjoy, learning falconry at a historic Irish castle, or gathering for a memorable meal that reflects the spirit of the region.

Just as important, there is time to pause. To wander a quiet street. To sit with a coffee in a sunlit piazza. To enjoy the place as much as the itinerary. The goal is not simply to see a destination, but to truly experience it well.

What is the Sequel Collective?

The Sequel Collective is a women-only travel collection created by Sequel Travel. Each journey brings together a small group of women who enjoy discovering new places, connecting with others, and sharing memorable experiences.

Every trip is carefully curated. Our team designs each journey to highlight the character of a destination through beautiful settings, distinctive accommodations, memorable meals, and authentic cultural experiences. The details are thoughtfully arranged so travelers can relax into the rhythm of the destination and focus on enjoying the experience and the company around them.

Each journey is supported by a local Guide, who brings the destination to life, and a Sequel Collective Ambassador, who travels with the group to help keep things running smoothly and ensure every traveler feels welcomed and cared for.
