TESTIMONIALS

Journey Journal

“On the morning of our second day we were met by our tour guide at the hotel and were taken to the Acropolis and Parthenon.

Thanks to our wonderful guides who know the city as well as they do and we had a fantastic tour of both historic sites. We packed a lot in on this morning, also stopping by the Acropolis museum. This is a great option for folks with mobility issues; one can still put eyes on the Acropolis and learn about the history of the site without having to do extensive walking up or downhill. After spending the morning walking and exploring with our guide, we jet-setted off to Crete to enjoy a 2-night stay at Blue Palace.

Fun fact! Blue Palace, on Crete, overlooks Spinolonga island, a former leper colony made famous by the book “The Island”, written by Victoria Hislop. I had no idea of the history of the colony, but it’s fascinating! The first evening on Crete we are at the Blue Door Taverna, where I was overwhelmed by the generous Greek offerings. Greeks LOVE to feed people, and I tried fresh anchovies and octopus for the first time in my life!”

“We arrived at Chaa Creek Resort, a beautiful resort that directs 10% of all accommodation revenue to environmental and community projects. As I got to my room, I discovered one particularly unique aspect of this resort: the incorporation of butterflies into the stay. Upon arrival, guests are given larvae in their room that hatch the next day as butterflies! The butterflies then go to their beautiful butterfly farm.

We then visited the Ka’Ana Resort, where I had the unique opportunity to cook with two Mayan sisters. Together, we prepared empanadas using fresh hand picked ingredients from their garden. We used traditional cooking techniques passed down through generations, rolling tamales in palm leaves and placing them to cook on an outside grill. This experience was a unique way to connect to the culture of Belize, and it was gratifying to cook our lunch authentically.”

Journey Journal

“We started our day with breakfast at Lavvu restaurant, followed by a four-hour snowmobile experience complete with snowsuits provided by the lodge. It was so fun passing over countless frozen lakes and having lunch at the Jotka Mountain Lodge for a traditional Sami meal of reindeer stew.

In the evening, we spent time with a member of the Sami indigenous group in a traditional Lavuu, who traditionally live in the northern parts of Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Russia. Today, many Sami people still work as reindeer herders and continue to practice their traditional way of life. It was a fascinating learning experience, and being pulled on a reindeer-drawn sled felt less Santa-like than I had envisioned, but so much fun.”

FAQs

Why women-only travel?

At Sequel, we love to plan trips that WE want to go on. And with time, we find ourselves wanting more opportunities to travel in ways that might better suit a group of girlfriends than a spouse or family. We provide extraordinary experiences for the woman who is ready to set off for an adventure – who wants a plan with incredible offerings and plenty of freedom to do it her way.

Do I have to share a room?

You get to choose! Most women elect to have their own room. However, each trip is its own creation! Friends/family traveling together absolutely may share a room if they’d like. And when we have two or more women traveling solo who would like to share a room with someone, we do our best to accommodate that, and to help them have all of the conversations ahead of time to make sure they are a good roomie fit!

What do you mean by luxury?

Our women’s small group journeys aim for “luxury without fuss.” These experiences and properties are curated for a small group of curious, capable women who enjoy a fine meal and sumptuous linens on their bed, but also like to turn up to breakfast in their workout gear some days.

How big are your groups?

We travel in groups of 15 – 20. We find that’s small enough to allow for the kind of high-touch, hands-on experiences that we love, while still providing a large enough group for everyone to find different folks to connect with.

Should I purchase travel insurance?

Yes, we require travel insurance for our small group journeys, with a certain level of medical coverage. Our team provides a few selections of coverage specific to each trip. Some travelers elect to purchase (or already have) an annual plan for medical travel insurance.

Do I need to work with Sequel for my flights?

It is strongly recommended that travelers purchase their flights through Sequel – otherwise, we are unable to assist in re-bookings or changes in the event of flight disruptions. However, we do not require it. Some travelers do choose to use loyalty points for their flights, which they book on their own.

Our Story

The idea for the Sequel Collective didn’t come from a spreadsheet or a trend forecast. It came from lived experience.

Sequel Travel being women-owned and deeply shaped by the women who work for us and travel with us. Again and again, we heard the same quiet truth: so many women want to explore the world, but they also want to feel safe, supported, and genuinely connected while doing it. They want trips that feel welcoming, without having to explain themselves or compromise what brings them joy.

We also know that women’s lives don’t follow one neat storyline. Some are navigating big life transitions. Some are single, widowed, newly independent, or simply in a season where their interests look different than their spouse’s. Sometimes there are places you want to go, things you want to try, or experiences you want to savor—and you want to do them with other women who
get it.

Some of our favorite travel memories are the ones we’ve shared with our girlfriends.

Long weekends away. Milestone birthdays. Trips where the conversations run late, the laughter comes easily, and you come home feeling more like yourself than when you left. As we age, those moments of celebration, connection, and shared experience become even more meaningful and even more worth prioritizing.

The Sequel Collective was created to honor that. Small-group journeys designed by women, for women, where camaraderie matters as much as the destination. Where you can show up exactly as you are, feel confident traveling solo within a group, and build connections that often last far beyond the trip itself.

This isn’t just about seeing the world. It’s about doing it together, supporting one another, celebrating one another, and creating space for the next chapter, whatever that looks like.
